The scheme supports the local green economy through Meshwork, a digital platform focused on sustainable development and best practice in the built environment.
Businesses, practitioners and council staff in Guildford and Waverley can access free Meshwork licences for 12 months through a dedicated affiliate link and coupon. The jointly branded registration page also recognises the councils’ sponsorship of the programme. New users will receive guided onboarding and a structured welcome to help them get started and make full use of the platform.
Participants joining through the pilot will gain unlimited access to:
- The Meshwork Community Hub
- CPD Essentials training resources
- A library of sustainability-focused content
- Events and learning opportunities curated by Mesh Energy
The platform is designed to connect built environment professionals so they can share knowledge, build skills and collaborate on more sustainable outcomes. The councils say the initiative reflects their commitment to a thriving local economy and to environmental goals. Both councils’ Economic Development Strategies include a focus on green growth and helping built environment specialists lead the shift to more sustainable practices.
Councillor Angela Goodwin said the partnership will help professionals embed sustainability into their projects and reduce emissions. Councillor Liz Townsend BEM said the scheme will strengthen the local green economy by giving businesses access to training, resources and networks. Councillor Adam Duce added that the programme will support the transition to greener construction and deliver lasting environmental benefits.
Mesh Energy, based in Farnham, is known for expertise in sustainable building and retrofit. The pilot is now live, and more information is available on the Mesh Energy website, with registration open through the Meshwork link. Published on 12 June 2026.
