Plans for three new industrial buildings go before councillors in Basingstoke on Wednesday (March 29) with a recommendation for approval.

AEW UK Core Property Fund (London) plans to demolish Intec 2, one of the remaining buildings at its Intec Business Park, and redevelop it and vacant plots on the sites of the former Intec 4 and 5 buildings, for the new industrial buildings totalling 7,633 sq m.

Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council’s development management committee has been recommended to approve the scheme so long as a s106 agreement is signed.

The site, to the north east of the town centre, is the southern portion of the 5.3-hectare park. Uses for the new buildings include Class E (flexible retail/commercial), B2 (general industry) and B8 (storage and distribution).
