Plans for 112,000 sq m of warehouse space have been recommended for approval by Brentwood Borough Council.

The council’s planning committee is due to discuss the proposal for St Modwen’s Brentwood Enterprise Park at its December 12 meeting.

The scheme is planned for a site next to Junction 29 of the M25, much of which had been Green Belt before being removed in the Local Plan.

Four warehouses are proposed in four buildings of 70,000 sq m, 7,800 sq m, 13,000 sq m and 22,000 sq m are proposed.

Among a number of road alterations, a new road bridge will be built over the A127 to connect the site to Codham Hall Lane to the north and provide access.

The logistics site is forecast to create up to 2,370 direct, full-time jobs.
