A new Permitted Development proposal to turn Soane Point in Reading into flats, has been submitted.

Tene Living has applied to Reading Borough Council for prior approval to turn the Market Place building into 100 flats (76 studios and 24 one-bedroom flats).

It is the third attempt to develop the building.

Tene Living had previously applied to create 144 flats but that was rejected over noise and contamination risks.

And last year, Castleforge Partners applied to carry out a major refurbishment and extension to create 110,771 sq ft of co-working space under its Clockwise brand but withdrew its plans in January.
