Morgan Sindall Construction’s Thames Valley business has expanded into a new office in Oxford.

The new space, at St Thomas House in Becket Street in the city centre, will act as a satellite to the existing Thames Valley office in Slough and provides meeting and work space.

The Grade II-listed building, which dates from 1893, is a shared office with a generous garden area and ample parking.

The new location will be occupied by eight to 10 permanent staff but can host regional clients and provide a touch-down office to any of the Thames Valley team’s 80 full-time employees.

Morgan Sindall Construction is involved in key projects in the city. Recent completions include schemes at Reuben College and St Cross for the University of Oxford, along with major projects for Oxford Brooks University, which includes works on the Clive Booth Student Village. The Thames Valley team has five new Oxford projects which are in the preconstruction stage.

James York, area director for Morgan Sindall’s Thames Valley business, said: “Opening the doors to our new residence, which is in a Grade II-listed building at the heart of such a beautiful city, is a fantastic moment. The location provides us not only with a beautiful backdrop, but with a hub in the heart of the Oxford area. As a team, we are looking to grow our relationship with the fantastic institutions that we work with in the city, and our new satellite office enables us to do that.

“We’ve completed, and are under way at several sites across the area, which is why it’s so important to be rooted within the communities in which we’re working. We look forward to continuing our existing relationships, engaging in new ones, and hopefully seeing some of you at our new space.”
