Plans have been submitted for up to 150 homes in Banbury.

Manor Oak Homes and a Mr & Mrs Donger submitted the outline plans to Cherwell District Council to develop land north of Dukes Meadow Drive, Hanwell Fields.

It is the third phase of a wider scheme by the same applicants. A proposal of up to 78 homes was granted permission, subject to a s106 agreement, a year ago and a further plan for up to 114 has been permitted (again subject to a s106 agreement) since then.

The new application proposes a mixture of homes including smaller units, bungalows and family properties in a bid to help meet the needs of wide-ranging sectors. Of the maximum 150 properties proposed, 45 will be affordable, representing a policy compliant 30 per cent.

The site of the new application is 7.1 hectares including access and makes up the western extent of the wider scheme to the immediate north of Dukes Meadow Drive.

The first application of up to 78 homes will occupy a 3.4-hectare chunk of the land while 6.02 hectares is for the second phase of up to 114 homes. Around 2.98 hectares will remain undeveloped.

The team on the project includes the rg+p group on design, Martin Andrews Consulting on transport and Asset Heritage Consulting on heritage.
