Spelthorne Borough Council is inviting residents, businesses and visitors to help shape the future of Staines town centre through a public exhibition on the emerging Staines Masterplan.
The plan will set a long-term vision for the town centre, covering public spaces, new development and how different areas connect and work together. Feedback will help inform the final Masterplan and ensure it reflects local needs and aspirations.
The exhibition was held on Wednesday, 22 July, from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm on Staines High Street, at the stall opposite Iceland. Visitors will be able to comment on the strategies being developed, ideas for specific sites, any missing issues, and their level of support for the proposals.
For those unable to attend in person, there are further opportunities to get involved. The exhibition materials will be available online through the engagement hub from Wednesday, 22 July 2026, until 11.59 pm on Monday, 24 August 2026, with a short survey for comments. The boards will also be available at Staines Library from 23 July 2026 to 24 August 2026.
The Council says Staines town centre is entering a period of major growth and investment, and the Masterplan aims to guide sustainable development over the coming years. Cllr John Turner said the Council wants to hear a wide range of views and will carefully consider all feedback.
