Avanton & Canada Israel secured planning permission for Stonebridge Place a new landmark residential development in Brent.
Leading London investor-developer and regeneration specialist Avanton, acting as a development partner with international real estate investment group Canada Israel, has gained a resolution to grant planning permission from the London Borough of Brent for Stonebridge Place, a prestigious new residential-lead development in Stonebridge Park, Brent. This £300M (GDV) transformative project, set to deliver 515 homes alongside commercial space, marks a significant milestone in the regeneration of the site known as Wembley Point, moments from Stonebridge Park train station.
Designed by the award-winning architect Patel Taylor, Stonebridge Place promises to redefine the urban landscape, providing a striking addition to the Brent skyline. The development consists of three distinct buildings, with the centrepiece being a remarkable 32-storey tower finished in terracotta. Upon its completion in 2027, this iconic tower will stand as the tallest building in Brent, a testament to its architectural grandeur.
Stonebridge Place is set to be a remarkable addition to the thriving Stonebridge Park community, which came to life following the introduction of WEM Tower, a landmark residential building also designed by Patel Taylor and managed by Canada Israel. With 99.8 per cent occupancy, WEM Tower has proven to be a resounding success. Stonebridge Place will complement this achievement, enriching the local neighbourhood and elevating the standards of modern urban living.

Initially submitted for planning approval in February 2022, the scheme included an ambitious 35 per cent provision for affordable housing. However, in response to rising construction costs and interest rates, a collaborative decision was reached to reset the affordable housing allocation to 25 per cent. This adjustment ensures the project remains financially viable while contributing substantially to the local housing needs.
