Two housing schemes for a total of up to 208 homes within the Royal Borough have been approved.

Councillors on the development management panel voted by five to four at their November 17 meeting to approve Bellway Homes’ plan for 129 flats at Moorbridge Road in Maidenhead.

And they voted unanimously to approve 79 homes and a nursery at Sorbon Estates’ Grove Park at White Waltham (pictured). The scheme will involve removal of single storey huts on the site while three office buildings will remain.

However White Waltham Village Association’s representative at the meeting, Charles Donald, warned the group may seek a judicial review. A total of 131 letters of objection were submitted along with a further 28 in the week before the meeting.
