Palady Homes, with Glanville Consultants acting as agent, have brought forward an application to West Berkshire Council, proposing the erection of 28 dwellings in a single apartment block, based on Mill Lane in Newbury.

Proposal details

The site is adjacent to the police station, and is situated where the Magistrates Court used to be, backing onto the Kennet and Avon Canal.

The dwellings within the block will be made up of one and two-bed apartments, all of which are expected to be affordable dwellings.

Alongside the apartment block, amenities will also be provided, such as parking spaces, six EV charging points, and an ecological enhancement area.

The car park will be fully unallocated, with residents free to use any parking space.

Proposal timeline

The application was validated last Thursday, and the upcoming consultation is scheduled for Friday 8 May.
