A 70-home Congresbury residential development has achieved planning approval, granted by North Somerset Council.

The proposal was brought forward by Allison Homes South West, in the form of a reserved matters application for appearance, landscape, layout and scale for the construction of the 70 homes, and saw approval last Wednesday.

There will also be a provision of 30 per cent affordable housing within the housing mix.

This follows a previous application for the same site, which was refused in November 2023. Then successfully appealed in 2024.

The current proposal also has approval for public open space, landscaping, drainage works, pedestrian, cycle and vehicular links, and associated infrastructure.

Timeline

Construction works are expected to begin in June, with the first homes built expected to be on the market in spring of 2027.
