Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced that national pub co Yummy Pubs have acquired the long-term lease on the former Villagio restaurant site in Hammersmith.

The site, which occupies a prime corner location in the centre of Hammersmith, will undergo a complete refit and reopen as Faber debuts Yummy’s new British seafood restaurant concept.

Anthony Pender, founder of Yummy Pubs, comments, “We’re very excited to announce that we have created a new British seafood restaurant concept as part of our Yummy Pub Collection, and we will be working alongside Christie & Co to obtain a pipeline of sites to roll out the concept over the next five years. The character and composition of this property in Hammersmith make it the perfect pilot site, and we look forward to bringing the new restaurant to life.”

The deal was brokered by David Wilson, associate director of Christie & Co’s London Pubs & Restaurants team. He comments, “We are delighted to have secured Anthony Pender and Yummy Pub Company as the new tenant for this prime restaurant site and can’t wait to see it turned into the new ‘fresh fish for all’ restaurant concept, Faber.

“This sale is the latest transaction we have completed with Yummy Pub Company, following the disposals of the Gorringe Park in Tooting and the Wiremill in Lingfield last year, and we look forward to working with them on future deals.”
