Submission of the planning application to redevelop the Reading Station Shopping Park (RSSP) has been delayed.

Aviva Investors, which owns the site in Vastern Road, had hoped to submit plans for the mixed-use scheme by Christmas but architectural and planning consultancy Barton Willmore, which put on two public consultations, has told Thames Tap the application is now due to be submitted around the end of January or early February.

The scheme includes between 750 and 950 flats, offices, a hotel and retail and community facilities at the 1.77-hectare site, north of Reading station.
