Carter Jonas has sold a residential development site near Royal Wootton Bassett to a local independent developer.

The 0.53-hectare at Grove Farm on the eastern side of the town, which has consent for 10 new properties, has been acquired by Ashford Homes. Carter Jonas acted on behalf of a private client.

The site, off Bincknoll Lane, a mile from the High Street and two miles from Junction 16 of the M4, was sold on behalf of a private client.

Steve Morris, partner of Carter Jonas (Bristol) said: “From agreement of heads of terms and instruction of solicitors, exchange took place in 17 working days which demonstrates the strength of the local market. We are pleased to have worked with Ashford Homes to bringing forward some much-needed homes for this popular town.”

Stuart Morgan, managing director of Ashford Homes, said: “We extremely pleased to announce the acquisition of consented land for an exciting development of ten homes in Royal Wotton Bassett.

“This adds to our portfolio of current development in this area alongside Great Somerford and Wroughton, all affording similar high specification, unrivalled quality and eminently an extremely desirable place to be live.”
