The estate known as the “Red Brick Estate” on Austin Road, Hayes, will be bulldozed and regenerated, providing 500 new homes in Hayes Town Centre.

A hybrid application has been submitted to Hillingdon Council, and approval has been given for the demolition and first phase of 80 homes.

The whole application includes:

  • A mix of private and affordable homes (50/50)
  • Community floorspace 140 square metres
  • Heights from two to twelve storeys
  • Car parking provision on 113 spaces
  • Cycle parking of 912 spaces
  • Resident only courtyards
  • Landscaping and amenity areas

Residents voted on a ballot to decide the estate’s future in spring 2021, with 79 per cent of residents voting yes for redevelopment.

The revamped canal-side estate will increase the housing provision by 240 homes and improve the desirability of the Hayes Town Centre.
