Minister for Veterans and People, Louise Sandher-Jones MP, visited the King’s Road Park development in Fulham to inaugurate one of two buildings acquired by The Stoll Foundation.

This initiative will provide 128 new homes for vulnerable veterans and military families. The event was attended by veterans, trustees, and staff from the Stoll Foundation, as well as members of the Greater London Authority, Hammersmith & Fulham Council, and St William, a part of the Berkeley Group, which is responsible for the development.

The project marks the most significant investment in social rent housing for UK Armed Forces veterans in decades. It includes community facilities such as meeting spaces, therapy areas, a disabled adapted gym, and new offices for The Stoll Foundation’s staff. Will Campbell-Wroe, Chief Executive of the Stoll Foundation, expressed delight at the opening of Valour House, emphasising their role as the only specialist veteran housing provider registered with the Regulator of Social Housing.

Minister Sandher-Jones stated, “Every veteran deserves a safe, secure place to call home. That’s not just a moral obligation – it’s a promise this Government is determined to keep.” She emphasised the importance of the Veterans Capital Housing Fund in providing security and support to veterans and their families.

Dean Summers, Divisional Managing Director of St James & St William, praised the transformation of the 16-acre former gasworks into a vibrant neighbourhood, offering a mix of private and affordable homes, a community park, shops, cafes, and over 400 permanent jobs.

The Stoll Foundation, a leading provider of supported housing for veterans, has been active for over 100 years, housing over 300 residents in West London and Aldershot. They offer various support services, including health and wellbeing activities, financial advice, and an Independent Living Service.
