YoooServe has opened a 10,500 sq ft co-working area in Reading.

The distinctive space, called The Abbey, on the fourth floor of Abbey Gardens, has private offices, desks available on a flexible basis and collaborative areas (see gallery below). It is open to all sizes of businesses including freelancers looking for flexible space.

The Abbey is YoooServ’s third co-working venue, following the opening of No 5 The Heights and Dakota in Weybridge, Surrey. It uses heritage colours, neon signs and green foliage in its design. Bluetooth technology will allow hands free entry and there will be robots to deliver parcels and food (see final image in gallery).

YoooServ has signed a lease for 15 years for the space. It has BREEAM rating of Very Good and an EPC rating of C.

Benjamin Willmore, founder and chief executive of parent company YoooGroup, said: “I set up YoooServ to create workspaces I would work in. The Abbey is no different; it is aesthetically pleasing and has been designed to entice individuals and businesses, whether you’re an employee or customer doing business with a tenant.

“There’s nothing worse than going to an office with beige walls and instant coffee; we pay attention to the detail with sourced fresh coffee, wellness pods and concierge. The team are trained to go the extra mile, leaving members to concentrate on the day-to-day of business.

“I’m especially proud of The Abbey. Over the last year we have sourced the right materials and furnishings, we’ve had a lot of interest in the space already from existing and new customers and the feedback has been positive. We look forward to supporting local businesses in Reading looking for in-demand workspace.”
