A reserved matters application for approval of 197 dwellings, alongside 20 self-build unit plots is seeking approval at the East Cambridgeshire District Council Planning Committee this Wednesday.

The application site is based at land North of Saxon Business Park in Littleport, Cambridgeshire.

Brought forward by Barratt David Wilson Homes Anglia, the application is pursuant to a successful 2024 outline application for the dwellings.

Housing mix

The housing mix is comprised of 154 dwellings (78 per cent) for market housing, and 43 dwellings (22 per cent) for affordable housing

Of the market housing, 40 dwellings will be two-bedroom, 60 will be three-bedroom, and 54 will be four-bedrooms or larger.

Recommendation

This application is recommended for approval as it is aligned with the previous applications outline consent, alongside an absence of any significant adverse impacts identified regarding visual and residential amenities, road safety and all other planning considerations.
