Three occupiers have expanded within the Southmead Industrial Estate in Didcot while another has bought a unit there.

In four deals at the estate, which is west of the town centre, – all completed by VSL:

  • Unit 1D at Trident Park on the estate has been let to Sofea, a charity which employs young people in food distribution. Sofea has taken the 10,500 sq ft unit on a seven-year lease in addition to the 5,500 sq ft it already occupies.
  • Precision engineering company Endeavour Engineering has doubled in size, letting 3,720 sq ft at Unit 1F on a six-year lease, next door to its existing premises.
  • Oxford Lasers has doubled its floorspace to 10,627 sq ft by taking 11 Moorbrook Park (pictured) on the estate on a 10-year lease. The new unit is in addition to its existing premises at Unit 8.
  • VSL has also completed the freehold sale of a 2,015 sq ft two-storey unit at 12 Harrier Park on the estate to a local confectionery company.

VSL director Tom Barton said: “To see local companies from a variety of industries expanding rapidly and staying close to their roots is fantastic and a real vote of confidence in Didcot and the Oxfordshire economy.

“We are also pleased to see new business moving in signalling the continuing recovery and growth in the region as a whole.”
