Savills has added to its Chelmsford development team with the appointment of director Lucy Robbie.

Lucy has worked in the property sector for more than a decade and has transferred to Essex from the Savills head office in London.

As part of the firm’s development land team, she advised public and private sector clients on the purchase and sale of sites across the capital.

In her new role Lucy – who started on the graduate scheme with Savills in 2013 – will have a particular focus on longer term strategic land opportunities, advising both public and private sector landowners and development partners on mixed-use masterplan consents.

Savills Chelmsford offers a range of development services – from consultancy and advice on the sale and acquisition of development land, through to valuations and viability assessments for private clients, lenders, developers and corporate entities.

Lucy said: “My family and I recently relocated to Essex, so it was a natural next step. As well as focusing on strategic land and providing development advice to landowners.

“I will be a point of contact for our London teams who have clients with assets in the region, ensuring they receive the very best advice and guidance and gain real benefit from our local market knowledge and expertise.

“It’s a very exciting next step in my career. I’m delighted to be joining such a well-established and experienced office with a strong track record and looking forward to shaping how the team evolves and driving future growth.”

Ben Sinclair, who leads the development team at Savills in Chelmsford, said: “Lucy fits our dynamic perfectly. She brings a great deal of experience and market knowledge that will be to the benefit of clients and team members alike.

“Her appointment signals our commitment to strengthening and growing our team, allowing us to navigate the evolving development and planning landscape and ensuring that we continue to deliver the very best strategic advice to our clients.”
